Social Responsibility
Giving back to the soil we grew from
This company started in a field in Saurashtra, so we have never treated community work as a marketing line. A part of what we earn goes back into the places our team comes from.
๐ Supporting village schools
We fund computer labs, internet connectivity and digital-literacy sessions for government and village schools across the Rajkot and Ahmedabad districts. Many children get their first look at a computer through these labs. Where a school already has machines but no connection, we sponsor the link โ a lab without internet teaches only half the lesson.
- Refurbished and new computers placed in school labs
- Sponsored broadband for participating schools
- Weekend digital-literacy sessions run by our own engineers
- Scholarship support for students continuing into IT courses
โป๏ธ Our plastic-free campaign
Data centres consume; the least we can do is not add avoidable waste. Our offices and facilities run without single-use plastic, and we ask the same of our suppliers where we reasonably can.
- No single-use plastic bottles, cups or cutlery at any Ahir facility
- Steel bottles issued to every team member instead of disposables
- Packaging from hardware suppliers collected and returned for reuse
- Quarterly clean-up drives with the local community
- E-waste routed only to certified recyclers โ never to landfill
๐ฑ Simple tips we actually follow
Nothing here is complicated. These are the habits we encourage in our own team, and we share them because small repeated choices matter more than occasional big gestures.
- Carry your own bottle. One steel bottle replaces hundreds of plastic ones a year.
- Say no to the plastic bag. Keep a cloth bag in your vehicle and the decision makes itself.
- Refuse the straw and the cutlery. The easiest plastic to avoid is the plastic you never take.
- Drink water through the day, not just when thirsty. Thirst is a late signal, especially in a Gujarat summer.
- Stand and walk every hour. Desk work is the real occupational hazard in our industry โ set a reminder.
- Eat what grows nearby and in season. Cheaper, fresher, and far lighter on transport emissions.
- Screens off an hour before sleep. Better rest does more for your output than another hour of work.
- Plant something and keep it alive. One tree per person, actually watered, beats a hundred planted for a photograph.
๐ Greener infrastructure
Our Helsinki facility runs on 100% renewable hydro power with free-cooling, and we publish where your workload actually lives so you can choose the greener region when latency allows. Efficiency is not charity โ a well-run data centre wastes less by design.
